Lil' Rough Patch

Looks Good On Ya!

Well it has been an interesting stretch for your friendly neighborhood Swamp Thing. I have managed to do some exciting things....none of them outdoors....and I find myself working late....again. We've experienced some downsizing at my primary job, where I currently find myself administering wildlife management programs across a territory that is about 350 miles north-to-south and 150 miles east-to-west. Would be no big deal if such a task had not previously fallen on the shoulders of FOUR full-time staff members, as recently as 2004. Oh well....at least I'm not in danger of being downsized!
My secondary job, a night teaching gig, has left me gasping several times, since other sections of the same class were cancelled, more than doubling the class size from 11 to 25 (maximum allowed by law, although another 10 students have come and gone).
At the same time, I am trying to get prepared for a fishing and surfing trip to coastal South Carolina, which I'd be really excited about if I had time to breathe! I have nearly all of my gear in place, in fact I think a new pair of flip-flops is about the last thing on the list! Sadie and I have had a tough winter and made the decision to fly the coop to South Carolina, since we couldn't scrape together enough cash to really enjoy ourselves on a Louisiana trip.
It's been a rough, cold, dry spring and it's time to get outdoors. See y'all soon.

Wow, sounds like you've been busy. The trying to do the same or more work with less people thing really stinks doesn't it?

It does, but it's much better than being one of the three people that no longer have their jobs!
