Nothing Subtle About Nicole....

Well, it really looks like unless I can somehow make some time to go outdoors in the next 5 hours, which isn't going to happen, I will be stuck inside for the mother of all Tropical Storms.
Nicole is coming up the coast right now and is bringing a gift of 4-9" of rain in the next 48 hours. The storm, and the resulting floods, will quite assuredly shut down fishing and pretty much anything I'd like to do in the garden for another 4 or 5 days. I saw this map and was reminded of the noreaster that socked Charleston during our last visit down there (prediction here, storm here).
Is it too much to ask for a simple cold front from the north? Seriously, tropical storms on the coast are not going to convince game birds in NY, PA, and Ontario to fly south and east!

Bummer! Psst... send some rain my way... I could really use a little on the garden. ;)

I have been wishing for a cold front myself but it sounds like my luck is the same as your luck.
